Such an entertaining post, the goldfinches are already so cute with all the patterns and colors but that first photo with the bathing motions, and the tail flipping the water in an arc, are so hilarious!
Even though Goldfinches are introduced to the area around Melbourne, they don't seem to cause problems and most people like them. I really enjoy watching birds bathing as they seem to as well, and you have captured that.
I love all the action and life in these shots! They are beautiful birds, and they certainly know how to wash thoroughly! Love the water droplets spraying through the air.
